So I've been watching Penny Arcades "strip Search" show lately, [link]
(which is a really good little show) and its rekindled old ambitions of starting my own web comic.
Back in 2010, I got swept up in a personal comic strip project titled "Misdirection". The strip follows Chase and Lisa, Chase a novice magician and Lisa, his neighbour/unwilling assistant. The strip/story starts off with a mailing mixup, landing Chase with a legit dark magic toolbox rather than the "tricks for beginners" kit he ordered, and what was to follow are 48 strips, with a full story arc and finale talent show (that Chase sets of fire.) lots and lots of influence from Calvin+Hobbes
then life kinda got crazy, and the artwork, along finished scripts have collected a bit of dust... but in my experience, I've found that good project ideas stick in your head until you complete them, and I very much believe this is the case with Chase and Lisa's "Misdirection" comic strip.
Someday soon I'll get back together with these guys and we'll tell our story.
Just thought I would share
