phew! this is way more fun than I thought it would be! I dont do nearly the amount of sequential artwork as I would like, its a nice change of pace. (it did make me a bit sad to tear coldfire up like that... but things are not over yet.)
I have too much stuff to show in one deviation, so be looking forward to part 2 of the fight
and thanks again if you voted for this! really do appreciate all the input
whoa this is amazing you made an acutal story and not just art on this masterpiece! its battle between 2 dragon with amazing art work! and the scene is very creative and you did a great job on the experience of the battling and the creatures look amazing i bet it took a long time just to make this! you put alot of effort and the design is great and you put a kind of "style" into the art if i was a critic i would give this a 4.5/5! nice artwork you got there! ... THIS IS AMAZING! PURE EPICNESS!
I'm somewhat in awe of how the creatures are put together. Upon closer inspection you can see mechanical parts integrated in the characters design. And though the designs and technique of making these creatures are outstanding, itself generates a problem.
With all the 'eye candy' within the creatures its sometimes hard to see the bigger pic and to figure what’s going on. Its easy to get lost in the finer details of the work. This is mainly a problem in the close ups, in the larger panel when more of the fight is seen there isn’t too much of a problem, in fact the spray of machinery that come off the creatures act as movement lines and give a wonderful sense of motion.
I think a balance needs to be found between the intensity of the artwork and the clarity of the panelling. Once This balance is put into place I think some really exciting stuff is going to unfold from this.
