The bots name is "Tonk" and the girl is "Cassie" and they had planned on spending the day flying kites... :*(

been wanting to tackle this piece for a long time, it was just one of those ideas that just won't get out of your head until you've got it on paper.

I have a whole story about the pair I would love to publish someday :)

• Adobe illustrator cs4
• pen tool, gradients, pathfinder,

It reminds me of the iron giant. Possibly was one of my favorite films. EVER. The feeling is soft and gentle despite that Tonk is metal and plastics. Very lovely.
